There's this crazy dude at my work and he's been pimping flat earth theory to everyone. He has literature, videos, quotes from the Quran, and all kinds of crazy ass stuff and it is amazing how much conviction this dude has. But I'm with WTWizard on this tho. Peace.

by stephanie61092 inso even though i don't drive much because public transit is so good where i live (and parking is a living nightmare), i always had a paper taped onto my glove box that said "no blood transfusions - jehovahs witness.

I remember back in the day when you would see someone with a NO Blood card and you knew right away they were JWs. There was a brother in my old hall who had these NO Blood keyrings made and he was selling them for $30. We all knew he paid $5 to have them made. Always looking to make a buck off a brother. How to spot faders or "closeted" apostates in a congregation / meeting?
by nevaagain inso i am awoken for several years now (never really bought the cool aid) but for family reasons i am still enduring everything.
but my wife knows ... .
anyway so yesterday we had this boring meeting and as i was sitting there trying to make time pass faster i looked around me and i thought who else feels the same as me and is completely bored?

Instead of encouraging people to read more & become better readers, go back to school, or get a good education, they'd rather dumb down so that all who have reading difficulties can be equally crap at reading.

Dumbed down people are easier to manipulate. Let's recap: no going on the internet to do your own research. No asking valid but controversial questions that might threaten the powers of the Governing Body. Discourage college for members, but encourage more time in brainless activities like building kingDUMB halls and field service. Discourage all critical thinking and private group discussions of WT doctrine. And the best is making everything that sheds light on the WT cult as being evil and from Satan. They like their sheep castrated and blind. -

It's not that easy man. Either they are not there or they are good at hiding it. I was a fader for almost 2 years and during that time I was awake, I was an MS, gave comments, did field service, manned the literature counter and all that shit. I can remember though singing my own lyrics to the songs and laughing to myself to keep my sanity. Unless you can read their mind it is tough. Peace. -

It is 5am and I still can't sleep. Contemplating life, doing research on religion, world history, science...
by Stepford Wife inmy husband is still asleep but he will get up in about an hour for work so i'm going to quickly tell you my inconclusive conclusion.
i don't know if i can believe in god anymore.
i have come to the simple conclusion that he is either dead or evil but he is definitely not loving.
